Pastor's Small Group Bible Study
Held on Sunday's at 9:30 am, the Pastor will be conducting a six session bible study called "Fearless".  Each day brings a new wave of reasons to fear.  Fear of layoffs, the economy, terrorism, housing downturns and fear of the unknown.  What if faith, not fear, was your default reaction to daily threats?  Envision a day, just one day, where you could trust more and fear less.  In his book, Fearless, Max Lucado offers his hope and calmness in a time of unprecedented fear in our nation and world.
ROOTS Bible Study

The roots of our faith are embedded deeply in the word of God, found in Holy Scripture.  We have dug those roots deeply into the Hebrew Bible (the "Old Testament"), and in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.  Now we'll sink those roots into the writings of their Apostle Paul.

We will look at Luke's "Acts of the Apostles" to get the historical setting of Paul's letters, and then read them in chronological order, listening as though he wrote them to us (which he did!).

Second and fourth Tuesdays, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., in the Conference Room on the right as you approach Heinrich's Hall.  The Reverend Richard O. Hoyer, retired pastor of the ELCA and member of Christ Lutheran Church, will lead.

Come one, come all, members, friends and neighbors, old and young, all are welcome!
