	*Our Historical Timeline*

Feb. 1971	Approval given by Board of American Missions to establish a Lutheran Congregation on Hilton Head.
Oct. 1972	First Worship service held: 27 in attendance.
Nov. 1972	Name of Christ Lutheran Church chosen: first Sunday School class begun.
June 1973	Moved location to the Island Theater.
Oct. 1973	Charter Sunday: Service of Organization.
Mar. 1975	2 acre site donated next to Palmetto Dunes for construction of church building.
Apr. 1976	Palm Sunday: First Worship service in new church.
Sep. 1979	Christ Lutheran Pre-School founded.
Feb. 1987	Congregation approves plan for building expansion of fellowship hall and pre-school building.
Sep. 1988	Construction of Heinrichs Hall and Pre-school completed.
Sep. 1990	Christ Lutheran Pre-school was given accreditation by NAEYC.
May. 1996	3.5 acres acquired for expansion of classroom and administrative space.
Feb. 2000	New facilities and campus completed.
Feb. 2005	Rev. David Osborne installed as pastor.
